A deeper understanding

Well, my initial idea of creating the backstory on here for your reading pleasure has taken a different route. What you have seen is what you get, but as more is revealed duri ng sessions, it will be revealed here. And now, a new post with an insight into Dalanor's mind.....

Over the past couple of days, Dalanor had found himself lost in thought and withdrawn from the world. His constant mutterings to himself were not to unsettle the others, but a mere tool to help unlock the darker reaches of his mind. He had a feeling that there was something that he should know......something he once knew....but he was unsure.

"There has to be a way........there is something I'm overlooking....."

During their trek up into the mountains from the dragon's cave, he found himself analyzing Erentaelik's abilities and combat style. From what he could remember from his time in the feywild, he knew that the drow was trained in the arts of the Eladrin....but he could not fathom how or why the drow came across these abilities. Traditionally, a Bladeweaver, or more commonly known as a swordmage, was an elite Eladrin warrior versed in the arts of magic and swordsmanship, blending the two into a very artistic, graceful style of combat.

This was so mething that had weighed on his mind since he had met the drow, and for some reason, it concerned him. How would one such as the drow be able to so casually use such a style without consequences?

Though not religious himself, he knew that Correlon himself is believed to have bestowed the powers of a Bladeweaver upon the Eladrin....so how could this be? It required further thought.

He sighed as he wracked his brain but could come up with nothing to help explain things.........

"I must watch him......study him......."

He absently let his hand rest on his wand, feeling the comfort of it's own magical energy beneath his fingers and he sighed. The interest in arcane items had always felt like a compulsion outside of his own control....always making him see artifacts and relics as containers.....however, his view was now one of true interest in the workings of such artifacts. The desire for study was still there, but he was ashamed of his desire for more power.........almost as if he should not be interested in such things.......

He returned his attention the the group as they searched through the Hammerhold.....there was something at work here, and he could sense the power radiating from within.......
